PERSONALITY:

CONFIDENT: Remy is a confident man. He’s sure of himself and who he is and it’s not a front. He’s a deeply emotional person inside, and cares deeply for his family. He’s a generous and kind person, but he’ll weigh his options first. That’s not to say he won’t help you. He will, but he might take his time about it if he doesn’t know you well enough.

RESTLESS: The man cannot sit still. He’s an active person. If he’s not at work, pacing about his work area, he’s working out. If he’s not working out, he’s running. If he’s not running, he's shooting arrows up in the air or at the gun range.

ENCOURAGING: He likes to mentor people. While not growing up in a huge family until much later in his life, Remy has a nurturing trait in him. He likes to be the one teaching and feeling accomplished when whoever he has taught succeeded in something. He’s a positive person as well, and mostly looks on the bright side of things.

HARSH: That’s not to say Remy can’t be callous. He tends to keep that side of him under wraps. Besides, he never had reason to subject anyone to his more than unsavory side. He might have garnered a few enemies and exchanged several words and spells with him, but his family have mostly escaped this side of him.

TOLERANT: Remy is open to hearing other opinions, other viewpoints. He might not be the first to point out the flaws in their opinions or what he doesn’t like in their viewpoints but he takes heed of whatever they might be. Remy has always had that recklessness in him, but he’s more mellowed out now.

DEDICATED: He’s a hardworking man. Remy was never one to ask someone else to go his work for him, if he could do it himself. He'd push himself to the limit and do it to the best of his ability.

DEMANDING: Remy is hard on himself and he pushes people. He believes in striving for what you want and if anyone close to him isn’t doing what he thinks they should be doing, he’ll tell them. His father is being an ass to his stepmother? He’ll say so. His sisters are being a prat? He’ll tell them.

HISTORY:

There were no loud thunderstorms or hailing snow when Remy was born. It was a peaceful summer day, one that was disrupted by the screams of Brianna Campbell as she gave birth. She didn't know if it was a boy or girl, since she wanted to get a surprise. She had a son, a rather strong and healthy sons, by the sound of his first cries in the world. Lyndon Costello was his father's name. Lyndon came from a very old and proud Irish family, and named his son after the very first recorded Costello in their history. Niall was after his own father.

Remy's parents were wizards. His mother was an American witch, and his father had gone to Hogwarts. Remy was born in Ireland, in the middle of a wizarding war that was taking place. His parents played no part in it, keeping to themselves and bringing up their son as best as they could. But, the war would catch up with them. Remy's mother was among the causalities of the war. Remy was barely a year old then. He didn't remember much of his mother, just her voice as she always sang to him.

His father brought him up as a single parent, employing magical baby sitters for his son. Because who could say his son wasn't going to showcase magical powers in front of non-magical folk? Eventually, along the way, his son took to a babysitter and so did he. The age difference made his father hesitate for a while but Carrie Brown soon became his stepmother. His childhood was made no less difficult by her. She was a very cheerful and caring person.

Still, it was to be a decade later before Remy got any siblings. But by then, the young boy was sent to Hogwarts. Hogwarts was a very good place for Remy. He flourished there, particularly in the Ravenclaw house. He caught on things quickly, magic became his best friend and he endeared himself to the Professors. Well, most of the time. Remy did have a couple of detentions at Hogwarts for petty stuff. Mostly for punching students who made fun of him.

Leaving Hogwarts with more than average grades, he landed a job in the Ministry with the Wizengamot department. While he was pretty good at his job, Remy never once felt a sense of satisfaction. After two years there, he left. He advertised his services as a teacher for children who were not old enough to go to Hogwarts but wanted to learn something. He got odd jobs here and there, mostly from parents who wanted their children to know something about magic. That job, though with less money, felt more satisfying to Remy.

He ventured into the Muggle world, picking up various subjects that he could teach Muggles. He has a part time job teaching people who wish to shoot guns and arrows in the Muggle world. Recently, very recently, he's been asked to teach full time at Hogwarts. The subject? History of Magic. Apparently the Ministry did not want a ghost Professor anymore. Students were failing the class and not interested at all in that subject. And so he got fired and Remy was hired. It's time to make History interesting.
