PERSONALITY:

Cece is very independent, has been since the day she was born. She's never one to ask someone to do something for her. If Cece wants something done, she does it herself. Growing up in 'the system', she learned from an early age to do things yourself. She's extremely outgoing, and makes friends easily. When you switch homes every three weeks, you learn to adapt quickly.

Growing up, Cece's never had a healthy relationship with a male. In foster and group homes, sexual abuse is disgustingly common in young girls. Because of this, Cece tends to keep everyone at arms length. You might be a friend, but you don't know the real Cece. She doesn't trust easy, and she never talks about her past. Craving approval, Cece has a strange fascination with older men. Cece only dates older men, boys her own age have no appeal.

As much as Cece tries to act like she doesn't care, she desperately wants a 'normal' family. She loves the idea of a mom, dad and two siblings. This is her one biggest dream, a real family. She dreams for the day when she'll have a family of her own. Cece is a hard worker. She works hard at her job, at school and at keeping her secrets.

HISTORY:

Baby Girl Thorton was born to Megan Emmaline Kirkny and Joshua William Thorton on Halloween night. The child was healthy, the teenage parents were assured she would be adopted quickly. But, the small infant fell through the cracks. She was given the name Caroline Ella by her social worked when she was three weeks old, or Cece for short. Cece was taken into a foster home at six weeks old. She lived with that family for two years, and three months before the adoption was finalize, the wife became pregnant. Overjoyed, the couple decided they didn't want to adopt Cece, and the toddler was sent back to the group home.

Cece lived in ten group homes until she was nine, a span of six years. It was in these group homes that she received the most abuse. When Cece was ten, she was placed in a new foster home. It was a nice home. The couple, Melissa and James Johnson, they were older. Their children had left for college, they had empty bedrooms and wanted to do some good. Life was good here. Cece loved this family, and they loved her. This all changed soon enough.

In March of Cece's eighth year old life, weird things started happening. The adults in Cece's life paid no attention to it. It started with harmless things, like items appearing in Cece's bedroom that didn't belond. It slowly increased until things like a dinner Cece didn't like exploding on the stove. It wasn't until Cece received a certain letter and visit from a Headmaster. Cece was accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This was the final straw for the Johnsons, and Cece went back to the foster home until the term started.

Cece would spend all year and breaks at school, and return to the group home during the summer. When Cece was fifteen, she applied to an independent living program. This program allowed her to live in her own flat during the summer, and work. Every summer, she works sixty or seventy hour weeks. Cece's foster parents had made it very clear that they would not pay for Hogwarts, and she worried about how she would pay for school. Upon her first visit to Gringotts, Cece discovered her biological grandparents had left her money for school and other things.

When Cece arrived at Hogwarts, she was sorted into Slytherin. She felt at home here. Cece made friends with her classmates and thrived in school. After learning about Slytherin, Cece did her best to avoid talking about the fact of her Muggle birthright. She wasn't ashamed, she just didnt want to loose anymore friends. Cece excelled in Charms and Transfiguration. Try as she might, Cece could never could get the hang of Potions. Cece's first five years were easy enough, her secrets stayed secret. Hopefully, they would stay that way.

Cece was sitting at the kitchen table, her feet swinging. She was a short child, even for a ten year old. Her blue eyes were focused on a man sitting next to her foster father, James. Melissa was next to her, eyeing the very same man. Cece was staring because she was amazed, the idea of magic was so interesting. Melissa wanted this strange man out of her home.

"Like I said, Cece shows a great appitude for magic. We'd like to offer a place at our school. We'll teach her how to control, and enrich her gift," Headmaster Jasper Fuller said, folding his hands. James shook his head, and stood up. His eyes were a blaze with something, was it fear? Anger? Disgust? Ten year old Cece couldn't tell.

"There is no way she's staying in our house! If this school wants her, they can have her!" James stormed out of the kitchen. Cece watched as Melissa, the woman she considered a mother, abandoned her. Eyes welling up with tears, she looked to the man in-front of her.

"Sir, I'd very much like to go to your school," Cece said, shaking the tears away. She was proud of herself, she spoke without her voice wobbling or cracking.
